Planning a Flying Dress Photoshoot for Couples in Santorini
A couple photoshoot with a flying dress can combine dramatic scenery with photographs that still feel personal. The flowing gown is one part of the story; the connection between you is the other. Before booking, decide how much of the session you want to spend on dress portraits, shared photographs and quieter moments together.

Decide Whether You Want a Dress Session or Everyday Couple Portraits
These are different choices. In a flying dress session, time is used for arranging the gown and creating fabric movement. In a regular couple photoshoot, you wear your own clothes and can focus on portraits together without that part of the setup.
You might want one partner in a flying dress and the other in their own outfit, or you may both want dresses. Explain your preference before choosing a package. Do not assume that a package for two automatically includes two dresses, two individual videos or a particular number of photographs: check the exact option you are booking.
Give Both Partners a Role in the Photographs
Not every frame needs the same pose or the same amount of fabric movement. Walking together, an embrace, a close portrait and a wider scenic frame can bring variety to the gallery.
The photographer guides both partners, including where to stand, how to place your hands and how to move together. Share any worries beforehand, especially if one of you dislikes being photographed. You do not need to arrive with a memorised list of poses.
If individual portraits matter to you, say so during planning. They need to fit within the selected coverage rather than being treated as extra time after the session ends.
Choose a Route You Can Enjoy Together
Begin with one priority: blue-domed architecture, caldera scenery or closer portraits with less emphasis on landmarks. A compact route often makes more sense than trying to fit every reference photograph into a short session.
Discuss Oia and Imerovigli with the photographer, including the light on your date, steps and walking distances. More than one village should not be assumed to be included. Public viewpoints remain shared spaces, even when your photography session is private.
Coordinate Outfits Without Making Them Identical
Choose your dress colour first, then consider what your partner feels comfortable wearing beside it. Simple clothing can keep attention on your faces and the shape of the gown. Matching outfits are not required.
Bring comfortable walking shoes and ask for preparation guidance for the chosen dress. Consider how much time you want for any outfit or dress change, and confirm whether that change is practical within your package.
Use Real Sessions to Discuss the Mood
Look beyond one dramatic cover photograph. A sequence of portraits helps you explain whether you prefer scenic compositions, close interaction or a mixture of both. Volaeri's couple page includes photographs from Charlie and Kayce's session as a reference for this variety.
That session is a reference for mood and storytelling, not a promise of identical lighting, access or a flying dress inclusion. Your own plan should reflect your date, chosen service and the time available.
Confirm the Plan Before Reserving
Send your date, number of participants, preferred setting and whether one or both of you would like a dress. Confirm the session duration, number of dresses and final deliverables from the specific package. Any retouched photographs described as included within the edited total are not an additional set on top of it.
Preview photographs are normally delivered in 1-2 days. Final edited photographs, and video where included, are delivered within 14 days after you submit your selection.
